The Australian Internship Program was developed to comply with the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) visa requirements. A brief introduction to the visa options for interns coming to Australia Clients wishing to complete internships for less than 12 weeks will have the following options: Option 1: Working Holiday Visa People who hold valid passports of most of these foreign countries are able to apply for a Working Holiday visa in any country (except Australia). Applicants who hold a valid passport from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malta, Germany, the HKSAR (or a British National Overseas passport) or the Republic of Cyprus, must apply in the foreign country which issued the passport.
