Australia Work Placement

Internship Australia

If you are interested in internships we can help find you a contract with one of Australia's top companies at a competitive price.

Main benefits undergoing an internship are:

  • Improve your English skills by communicating in English and working with Australians.
  • Get practical experience in English in your area of interest.
  • Get a reference letter from the company at the end of your internship, which gives you a competitive edge when you return to your home country looking for work or even if you decide to stay in Australia. Also Working Holiday Maker can significantly improve their chances on the Australian market if they have can prove working experiences in Australia.

We are working together with Australia's biggest independent internship provider. They work on behalf of international students to organise unpaid internships/ work experience placements within companies in Australia.

Currently there are over 1000 companies in their database, whereas most of them are multinational companies.

Please note, that it is required for an internship to provide a current Resume and Cover letter! If you have any problems with free translations of your documents, AA will help you.

Our new "Express Placement service"

Express Placement service"ISPC would like to introduce the EXPRESS internship program as of the 1st May 2004. This additional service has been created to attract those applicants leave it till the last minute to make decision and then expect to have an internship offer immediately For an additional fee of just $350.00 ISPC will try to organise a great internship at their requested start date.As you know ISPC usually require 8 weeks notice from our applicants prior to beginning their placement.

This fee is fully refundable if ISPC is unable to meet the requested start date which means that applicants have nothing to lose!. However this fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the intern.

What do we tell interns at the orientation
As I'm sure, you will all agree, coming to a foreign country is never easy. Even the simplest of tasks can be quite stressful. Our orientation is hosted by qualified staff in dealing with international students (All with previous English teaching experience). The orientation ensures that applicants are aware of everything before they start their internship . They are also able to ask any questions no matter how simple it is and be guided appropriately.
The orientation mainly covers the following topics:

  • Transportation to and from the internship
  • General transport information
  • Code of conduct at the internship
  • Safety in the internship city
  • Mobile phones, phone cards etc.
  • Our trips and social activities
  • First day instructions at the internship company
  • Emergency numbers
  • Staff at ISPC
  • Travel assistance during and at the end of the internship
  • Other rules of the internship company Example, dress codes etc.
  • Australian lifestyle and culture
  • Specific information for the budget traveller !

All applicants are also given an "ISPC welcome pack" which includes maps, guides, discount vouchers and lots of other goodies".

So as you can see, our orientation is very important for all interns to attend.

Cv's (Resumes) and Covering letters of applicants via email
As you all know, we require a CV and a covering letter as part of our normal application process. I understand that some of you may only receive a "hard copy" of the applicant CV and letter. This however makes the internship process for us that extra bit more difficult. The vast majority of our dealings with our companies are via email. this means that in over 90% of situations, we will email an applicant's CV and letter to the internship company. We are obviously unable to do this for applications that we receive in hard copy only.

We consequently need to retype the CV and letter (which I'm sure you would agree is very time consuming). This naturally delays the confirmation of the internship which obviously puts more pressure on everyone even YOU. An applicant will naturally be calling you as their first point of contact to ask about the progress of their application which obviously puts you under more unnecessary pressure

We quite often also need to correct Grammar and spelling mistakes on applicant's CV's before emailing to Internship companies. This ensures that internship companies receive a professional impression of the applicants and consequently a more professional internship is organised for the intern.

So as you can see, by ensuring that you send us a "soft copy" of the applicants' CV's and letters, you are also helping us to receive the best possible internship and a much faster processing time.

I look forward to receiving all applications via email in the near future

The 416 special program visa has been approved - What is the 416 visa?

The 416 special program visa is granted to organisations that promote youth exchange programs for young persons coming to Australia as well as young Australians travelling abroad to participate in similar programs.

The visa can be granted to anyone between the age of 18-30. There are no restrictions on countries or nationalities. The visa is issued for a maximum of 12 months but is not automatically issued for that period, our partner will endorse the visa for the length of the internship + any study period + 1 month for travelling.

The main purpose for coming to Australia has to be for participating in our internship program.

This visa may be applied for outside Australia as well as in Australia. The visa is great for everyone but especially for our applicants in countries that don't yet have reciprocal working holiday agreements with Australia for example Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Czech republic, Hungary, Greece, Austria, USA, All South American countries, Thailand and most other South East Asian countries.

There is a very simple visa process that covers study periods, the internship period and travelling by the applicant.

New program - WORK and TRAVEL Australia! - What is the Work and Travel program?

The work and travel program will be mainly for travellers form Working holiday visa countries. The program offers travellers 18-30 years of age the opportunity to come to Australia knowing that everything from accommodation to even a job has been taken care of before even landing in Australia.

The program is mainly to provide young travellers with the opportunity to gain work in Australia to supplement their travels. The work will be mainly non-skilled in the hospitality and travel industries but there are also opportunities in office administration.

Intern of the month
Internship in Australia! Improve your English skills by communicating in English and working with AustraliansIn this section we talk to various ISPC interns to see how they are enjoying their experience of internships in Australia. This month we meet Severin from Germany, who is doing a 2 month marketing internship at one of Australia's biggest Recruitment companies.

Severin Krom : "I am working at a large Recruitment company. I like working there and learn a lot. Last week I went on the Blue Mountains Trip with ISPC. I had a great time. We went hiking and enjoyed some amazing views. I really liked the ride on "Worlds steepest Railway". It felt like riding a rollercoaster.
