A Note : Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere and the seasons are in reverse to Norther Hemisphere seasons. Winter nights can be quite harsh and miserable in the south of Australia. There is often no heating in houses. In such circumstances, your personal needs and your dress style will dictate what you pack.  
 

  • Shirts / Blouses (Formal: 1- 2)
  • Trousers/jeans (3, including one pair of black tailored trousers if you plan to work in an office or the hospitality industry)
  • Tie (1)
  • Skirts / Dresses (1 formal if you plan to work in an office or the hospitality industry)
  • Jacket (1 - Ideally a light warm jacket. You would wear when it is around 10 degrees with a waterproof jacket)
  • T-Shirt (5)
  • Underwear (10)
  • Pyjamas (2)
  • Shorts (3 -4)
  • Jumper / sweat shirt / Pullover (2)
  • Socks (10)
  • Walking shoes / hiking boots
  • Dress shoes (black, closed, cleaned shoes)
  • Sport shoes
  • "Slip on" / "thongs"
  • Raingear
  • Hat/cap

  • Extra pair of glasses or contact lenses / solution
