Farmstay in Australia

A home/farmstay is typically where an international student lives with a local family during the academic year. You will find several options ranging from Room Only ($60 - $90 per week) up to full Board ($120 - $140 per week).

Please note that you are often expected to do your own washing/cleaning and behave like a member of the family. You should definitely take this opportunity to make new friends and improve your English!

You may have to consider renting or buying a car if you choose farm stay, as farms can often be far from modern conveniences.

There are boarding facilities at many non-government (private) secondary schools. The school provides accommodation, meals and laundry services.You can live in either dormitories or rooms, and share facilities with other students.
