Admission into Nursing programs (February 2008)
Due to the continued popularity of the Nursing programs at ACU
National, we have had to consider ways to control numbers in a reasonable and equitable manner.
To this end we have amended our admissions policies for the
nursing Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor programs in
Melbourne and North Sydney.
1. Application Deadline
Applications for the February 2008 intake should be submitted
prior to 31 October 2007.
Applications will only be accepted after the deadline in the event that extra places become available.
Note: The University reserves the right to close applications for
any course before the application deadline in the event
that numbers meet/exceed the maximum quota for a course.
2. Deposit Required
Students must pay a deposit in order to guarantee their place in
a nursing course. This applies to the Diploma/Advanced Diploma
and the Bachelor of Nursing.
This means that students who fail to meet entry requirement for
the Bachelor will not be guaranteed a place in a Diploma/
Advanced Diploma program unless they have paid a deposit
for that program also.
If students are in doubt of meeting their Bachelor entry requirement, we advise them to pay a deposit on both the Diploma and Bachelor programs.
Once the final admission outcome is known, a student's deposits may be transferred towards either the degree or pathway program.
3. UAC / VTAC Students
A limited number of places will be reserved for students applying
through UAC or VTAC
4. PVA Students Students awaiting Pre-Visa
Approval from Assessment Level 3 or 4 countries may reserve a
place by writing to the University to confirm their intention to
accept the offer. A deposit must be paid as soon as PVA is
granted.
5. Nursing in Brisbane
These policies do not apply for entry to the Brisbane Campus,
as there are presently sufficient places available in the nursing
programs.
