The General English Program at Shafston teaches the type of English used in every day circumstances. It effectively develops your communication skills in speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar and pronunciation. The amount of weeks you are planning to study can be of minimum 2 and a maximum of 50 weeks. Ofcourse the more weeks you plan to study, the cheaper $AUS/week they are.

The most popular facet of this course is that your progress is controlled at your own pace and if you feel comfortable with the level you are in you may sit for a "level up" test to progress to the next level. 

Cambridge Exam Preparation
Shafston is one of Australia's largest providers of preparation programs for the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. Shafston offers a very wide range of Cambridge preparation programs including all levels of the main suite exam preparation programs (PET, FCE, CAE and CPE)

Cambridge Business Exam Preparation
The Business English Certificate (BEC) preparation courses prepare students in BEC test taking strategies and the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The course is communication based and focuses on English as it is used in today's global business world.

Diploma in International Business
The Diploma in International Business is a full-time, two semester program which develops the student's skills in communication, research and problem solving in international business from a political and cultural context. Students are also exposed to the areas of economics, marketing, accounting and international relations.

The course duration is 2 semester's full time or equivalent part time with the Head of School's permission offering 48 total credit points. 

Diploma in Legal Studies

Diploma in Human Behaviour
The following Diploma course is primarily targeted for school leavers who wish to explore a career within human services disciplines, and may have been unsuccessful in obtaining an entry placement at their chosen university. Also, mature students working or seeking employment within related sectors will find the Diploma course offers foundational understanding and knowledge, along with relevant practical skills, sought by the human services professions. 

The Diploma in Human Behaviour is a 2 semesters, full-time or part time course (with the head of schools permission) offering 48 total credit points. 

Diploma in Educational Studies
The Diploma in Educational Studies is for school leavers who wish to explore a career within education. Upon successful completion of this 1 year, full-time Diploma course, students will have acquired the general understanding and related practical skills relevant to the education sector, as well as acquiring possible credit points towards an undergraduate degree in education at a recognised university.

Students undertake the two-semester, eight unit, Diploma course to acquaint themselves with and acquire the basic skills and understanding for engagement in education.
