Traineeship & Apprenticeship

Traineeship & Apprenticeship - Trades training jobs.

This is our newest program!. These are
apprenticeships (training jobs) in the following traditional trades:

  • Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker)
  • Metal Machinist
  • Motor Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle & Plant)
  • Sheet metal Worker
  • Toolmaker
  • Welder

This program allows applicants to undertake an apprenticeship for 3-4 years (depending on the trade). At the end of the apprenticeship applicants are recognised as fully qualified for that particular trade in Australia. Applicants are also able to remain in Australia permenantely at the end of the apprenticeship providing they are employed in a regional area for a minimum of two years.

Anyone aged 18-35 is able to apply regardless of previous qualifications. Those that have partially/fully completed their trades training in their country will be assessed within 6 months of the start of their apprenticeship for their skill level. Applicants may then be be fast tracked through their apprenticeship.

This program is available on a new visa introduced by DIMIA in November 2005; 'TST visa" - Trades Skills Training visa. The visa is valid for 4 years. ISPC arranges the apprenticeship as well as assistance with the visa application in addition to all our regular services.

This program is a great alternative to attending an Australian Univeristy. The average cost of studying a 3 year course at an Australian University is $25,000. This program gives applicants a cheaper alternative (average cost is approx. $12,000) and in most cases this option is a much quicker path of qualifying for permenant residency in Australia.

This program also means that applicants are able to fund themselves throughout the program as they will be earning full time wages whilst studying for an Australian trade qualification
