Byron Bay
Byron Bay is one of Australia's favorite International tourist
destinations. Travellers from all...
Wodonga |
Albury and Wodonga are twin towns separated by the Murray River, which acts as the Victoria-NSW border. Albury is NSW and Wodonga belongs to Victoria. They recently amalgamated as a single town. In both parts are several decent restaurants, some lively bars and a few interesting places. The Albury side is probably the most attractive part because it's a good base for trips to the snowfields and high country of both Victoria and NSW, the vineyards around Rutherglen and to the upper Murray River. The "Botanic Gardens" at the end of Dean St. are also worth-seeing. You can get a night in a dorm for A$ 17 in the "Albury Backpackers".
